Literally translated to “Followers of Dunia” in the common tongue of the Basin. Up until recently, it was the primary government of the Basin. The Adeptes are an oligarchical theocracy that is run by three pontiffs. Each of these pontiffs is voted upon by members of the temple that hold land in the region.
The Adeptes main base of operation is within Colline, the Capital of Montagne, though they have temples in most cities.
The pontiffs of the Adeptes are the absolute rulers of the faction, and oversee its vital operations. Votes are held for them every 5 years, though usually this vote is from a small pool of noble landowners and those they vote on are from about a dozen magically capable nobles. Amongst the pontiffs there is currently much infighting, as all three have different ideas of how it should be run.
