Goblinoid

Goblinoids are an engineered race made right before the planar merger by one of the Precursor subcultures. Altho the original purpose of the goblinoid race has been buried with the ancient labs they came from, in their current form they thrive. Due to the immense chaos of the god wars age, not many know of the goblinoid origins. Rumors still persist that many secrets are still to be pulled from ancient precursor ruins.   Goblinoids can be seen across the prime world, north and south of the great frost. Agascent to humanoids they share many traits with their cousins but are still distinctly different. Known more commonly for their red-yellow hued skin color, long pointed ears and pointed teeth. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from 3 - 8 feet, muscular to long and lanky. Described to be robust they have a higher tolerance for uncooked meals and typically withstand more punishment than your average humanoid. In terms of intelligence many have noted that they are on par or just slightly above human standards.
Goblinoids are creatures that are derived from either magic or breeding. “Half” goblins would fit the majority of this category due to their high genetic compatibility. These half breeds have ranged from tieflings, ogres and even a few beast races. Many children keep the majority of goblinoid physical traits compared to the other species. These are generally accepted within goblin society, and are generally met with respect. Goblins that have been changed with magic over generations can have horrific variations. From working gills to body structure no longer resembling their original forms.
Goblinoids have always had problems when dealing with transmutation magic, generally having more adverse effects than most other races. It is because of this affliction that many believe they are more related to doppelgangers than flesh and blood. Simple spells such as Enlarge/Reduce and Meld into Stone have had permanent and sometimes deadly consequences. It is for this reason that many suspect Water goblins or Vathtoor are due to magic experiments within the mighty sea citadels of the Anlis sea. The Karkadunn goblin are also an example of magic meddling with goblins.
  Many goblinoids when not integrated within larger cohesive communities will start their own. Typically forming tribes of any creature that would agree to be with them, but typically they are tribes of their own kin. When not guided with a gentle hand many isolated tribes turn into little more than bandit camps or in even more remote territories savage tribes.
