Koren was originally a middling nature god during the last cycle, and during the harvest became a great power by killing his previous leader, and quickly went into hiding. He took the path many gods feared to take, and instead shared his divinity amongst the trees in the mountains. All trees that grow in the mountain contain a piece of the old god, and through them he sees and hears. Due to this, he is also considerably weaker than most old gods and especially patrons, though it has also made him nearly unkillable as well. In recent millenia he has been disgusted by the Dunia Pantheon, and wishes to see their reign end. He is among the few that doesn’t even care to return to godhood, and fears the Seeder. Recently he has formed an alliance with Haige, who has promised him they will destroy the Dunia together. While not fighting directly, Koren often works as a spy of sorts for Haige, listening from branches and floorboards.
Most of his followers are occultists and the nature attuned that he commands to plant trees. It is rumored that few of this faith have been given great reward, with objects made of wood that supposedly show visions of other things that have happened in the basin.
