Personal history

Ozcar was a renowned explorer on his planet before he was stranded on Earth. Once stranded he does his best to blend in with the native species, changing his name to do so, despite it being a huge technological and societal setback for him. He holds a small hope of being reunited with his species but doesn't share this hope with his children.
Ozkar was the leader of a small exploration group that crash landed on earth in 720, when it becomes clear that they cannot contact their control team and are no where near their mission destination he decides to forgo the mission and assimilate with the local populace. This decision isn't a popular one and causes some tension between the team. Especially when Ozkar changes his name to Abd and has children. The true form of their species is little more than animated energy but in conjunction with another species on their home world they devised a way to create an inhabitable body based on the DNA of the most sentient species of the world they're exploring. They hadn't tested these bodies abilities to procreate before, at least with humans they have no difficulty. These offspring are more like their fathers though which makes hiding their true natures somewhat difficult.
Eventually the original crew breaks off into two factions. Abd leading one with the desire to assimilate and hide in the shadows, and the other to regain their status as supreme.
