Orioleroost

Oriole is a small sky island community that is inhabited primarily by various species of Fae, mostly Fairies and Wood Nymphs. It is covered in a dense forest, with a few small clearings made to allow for landing Prop-gliders and other aircraft. The forest is full of rare Red Top trees, the many uses of which attracted the local fae population.
Near the island's centre, is a rare hot water aquifer that keeps the island slightly warmer than its neighbours. The warmth has made the isle inhabitable to the fae, even during the winter which could wipe them out on other islands without protection.
The island is home to the 5 fae families that operate in the skyfolk world: the Popweeds, the Sycamores, the Violets , the Olives , and the Samaras.
