Alchemical Alliance

The Alchemical Alliance (sometimes also called the Alchemical Assembly) is one of the three powers competing for influence in the contemporary world of Magicians' End. Their rivals are the Trans-Oceanic Empire and the Congress of Concerned Citizens.
The Alliance is a group of independent cities which share ancient arcane traditions. They came together to resist incorporation into the ever expanding Trans-Oceanic Empire, a motivation they shared with the Congress of Concerned Citizens.

Structure

The governing council of the Assembly is called the Alembic and has no fixed home, meeting in rotation around all the cities in the Alliance.
The Alembic, elects the Magistrado/Magistrada of the Assembly for a term of twelve years and they are the public face of the Alliance.
