Allesa de Medici is the current ruler of the Lega Latina. She has been a widow for a little over a year, following the death of her late husband and consort, the Prince Luca, a somewhat notorious drunkard and womaniser, who fell to his death from a horse whilst engaged in a sporting contest with friends. It is thought that the queen does not particularly miss Luca and having emerged from the formal period of mourning is now considering a number of suitors. She seeks to marry for love and politics, a difficult achievement, but one she is prepared to be patient to accomplish.
