Donna Fanettei
Donna Fanettei was a courtesan in the court of Emperor Paul IV, who became a favourite of the young Myrold during his formative early years. She became pregnant by him and when he found out, Myrold encouraged her not to abort the pregnancy as was the usual custom in cases of this type at the time.
The Emperor would later elevate his mistress's daughter to the title of Princess Acetta, his first and favourite child, though she was illegitimate and the children that came later were not.
Donna Fanettei died in 2908 BPC from what is thought to have been a severe case of food poisoning brought on by a toxic batch of shellfish, when Acetta was only eleven years old. There are unsubstantiated rumours that plotters in court who wished the Emperor to take a wife, saw his continuing relationship with her as a problem and might have arranged for the poisoning. The Emperor was distraught and refused at first to believe it was an accident, but nothing was ever proven and it is equally likely that the death was really just due to very bad luck and bad cooking.
