Emperor Myrold II
Emperor Myrold
Emperor Myrold II ruled between 6th Glim 2915 BPC and 20th Mald 2833 BPC. His death preciptated the events that led to the infamous War of the Three Sisters.
The Emperor had four important relationships with women during his long life, and all of them came to an unfortunate end. Before he ascended to the throne, he conducted a passionate affair with a courtesan, Donna Fanettei, and they had a daughter, Acetta who he doted upon.
After Fanettei died, most likely from food poisoning, when Acetta was still a young child, the Emperor was married to the Lady Solill, an artistocrat from Tarris on the coast of Tinturbean. By all accounts this official marriage was happy but childless. They raised Acetta together and he taught her about the ways of the court. It was only when Lady Solill, died in early middle age from a strange wasting disease that Myrold II officially declared Princess Acetta as his successor. She had not only lost her real mother but now the one who had raised her as if she was a mother. In return, all her father could give her was an Empire.
The emperor's second wife was Lady Rythelle and she gave him a second daughter, the Princess Beatrice. Although he never loved Rythelle as much as either his first wife or his first love, there was happiness in their child and the couple had looked forward to the birth of a son, but that would never come to pass when a third tragedy struck and Lady Rythelle died in childbirth.
Myrold's final marriage was to Lady Pelle, who gave him his third daughter, the Princess Cecilia. Lady Pelle outlived her husband.
