The Helsporan Wheel

The Helsporan Wheel is a ring space station which orbits Earth, positioned above the upper tether of the space elevator which ascends from Helsporan.
This is the staging post for star ships from the Galactic Compact and also a dock for some lunar transit vessels (although the spaceport at Sonnring takes more of this kind of traffic).
Following the demise of the space elevator at Modyran (which fell in 3092 AF), the Helsporan Wheel is now at the hub of the only remaining low cost mass transit system offering access to Earth orbit.
