The realm of Vanaheim has multiple galaxies, nebulas, solar systems, and planets, but the most populated one is simply called Vanaheim.

History

Vanaheim was created through the death of Ymir. Whereas the Aesir retelling of the realms' creation is one of violence, the Vanir believe that the Yggdrasil tree sprouted from Ymir's body after Odin killed her.
Though Vanaheim was empty when it was first created, it was soon occupied after the Asgardians who disagreed with Odin's conquering ways, fled Asgard. Freya leads the Vanir as they make Vanaheim their new home. The new realm is filled with magic and the new Vanir residents begin to harvest and cultivate the magic.
When Odin turns his eye onto Vanaheim a war breaks out between the former united race. The war threatens to wipe out both sides and while Odin would certainly fight down to the last child, Freya could not bring herself to sacrifice so much. She offers herself for marriage to unite the Vanir and Aesir and Odin agrees to the deal. The war stops immediately, but there is still strong resentment between the two groups.
