The Battle of Celestial Bodies

Summary

It is believed that long ago, a dragon of blazing starlight arrived from the Frozen Sea and absorbed the energy from Kios' sun, shrouding the solar system in darkness. There was only one being in the system that could rival this Sun dragon and save the people of Kios, and her name was Selune. Selune was a silver dragon born under the blue moon and grew to astronomical proportions. In their battle, Selune was able to reflect the attacks of the Sun Dragon back at it slowly chipping away at its armor, until it fled back into deep space.                                                                                                                                                                                         
                                                                                                                                                                                       Selune, being gravely wounded herself, decided to rest on a nearby moon to regain her strength before chasing the Sun Dragon to hopefully finish it off. While resting and healing, Selune's blue blood seeped into the core of the moon, eventually crystalizing and forming Lyrium. After many days, Selune's wounds were healed, and she ventured off into the Frozen Sea to finally defeat the Sun Dragon, now known to the humans of Kios as Xaryxis.

Cultural Reception

The nearby moon of Kios, Selune, was named after the Lunar dragon in hopes of her return to the Fulmenos System.
