Snow Wren

The tiny Snow Wren gathers in great numbers atop the mountains of Akir. Its white plumage helps it to blend into its surroundings.

Communal Nests

Snow Wrens gather together in groups to keep warm. As a group, they help keep the eggs of the nest warm, regardless of which specific bird actually laid the eggs.

Loud Mouth

The tiny Snow Wren has the loudest song of any bird on Akir. Its melodies are capable of echoing down the mountaintops and spreading their magic along the way.

Quiet Dawns

Before The Ashen Eclipse & The Infernal Deluge, the Snow Wrens from The Ironfang Mountains and Icewraith Expanse would welcome the first morning's light with the Sunrise Song of Healing. Now that The Dragonstar is blocked by the ashen clouds, the lovely melodies of The Snow Wren are greatly missed by all. The birds just don't feel happy enough to sing.

Great Pollinators

Psybloom seeds are the preferred diet of the Snow Wren but they also eat their fair share of Starberries. The Snow Wren is responsible for most of the pollination of both plants as there are few insects at such high elevations.

When Kyranos learned that he would soon be a father, he went out to catch Snow Wrens for my mother. He built an aviary outside of the nursery window. Every morning they would sing for us with the dawn. Whenever he would leave our world to battle the demons, the birds would remind me that he loved us and would come back home.
