Gerard Starace

Introduction

Gerard Starace is the founder of Paladium Manufacturing Company. He studied architecture and engineering as a young adult in Valkyria, being fascinated by the city's outstanding architecture. Gerard then shorty began working in construction labor, where he was able to offer unique insight in variou projects. His contractors gave him great praise to his creativitity and efficiency methods, which lead him to become a Project Leader for Valkyria's Mason Guild, where he'd develop his career into a great successful journey.

Upon several completed projects and earning him a great salary, Gerard felt he wanted to take his success somewhere else, and moved to the Kingdom of Sydonia to bring his knowledge and expertise to the small township. Inspired by the heroic tales of the famous Paladins, First King Trinidad and the ongoing exploits of Benji Dover, Gerard started designing blueprints of battle armor and weaponry styled after the Paladins. With a strong contempt towards the tyrannical rule of the Parliament of Magic, Gerard established his own engineering company called Paladium Manufacturing Company, with "Paladium" being a play-in-words of Paladin and titanium, a metal that's richly mined for Sydonia's projects.

Paladium played a vital role in arming ex-PNA soldiers for the Revolutionary Siege against Babylon, the Divine City. With all nations rallied and their Champion of Light at the helm of the siege, Paladium and Gerard made their name during this historical conflict.

After the Parliament was dismantled, Gerard returned to his company's quarters as a hero. He would then meet a female soldier that participated in the siege named Rebecca Lourelburg, who donned an intricated-designed Paladium battle armor. Rebecca confessed that her armor saved her life during the siege, and owed her life to Gerard for his ingenious designs. Both fell in love almost immediately, and married months after. Gerard's and Rebecca's next-of-kin would lead Paladium through the ages to retain the legacy of a hero.

His descendant Yrel Starace would be the fiercest defender of freedom.
