Magnar Umbranos
Introduction
Magnar Umbranos is the King of the Kingdom of Ylhelm, and has been its sole King ever since its founding. Being born centuries before the Awakening, he is the oldest being in the entire world after becoming immortal by forging a pact with the deity Kindred.Magnar Umbranos is a ruler of a good heart that has always put the well-being of his citizens before anything else. Generally liked and respected as a person and king, Magnar is equally feared as a warrior on the battlefield
History
Early Life
Magnar Umbranos was born 200 years before the Awakening in the primal lands of Terra. He was born a warrior alongside his fellow tribesmen, living as a nomad warrior and protecting his kin. Magnar was respected for his selflessness, seldom criticized for this same reason but wary of the fact. One of the main reasons Magnar always protects his tribesmen is the fact that he lost both his parents during his teenage years at the hands of an enemy tribe. He did not understood the reason why they were murdered, but the pain he felt in him was too much to bear. He swore to his tribesmen that as long as he lives, no one else will die at the hands of another human. Growing up, he took the mantle of warrior and donned the spear. His experience in battle hardened him his exterior demeanor, but his heart remained loyal to all the members of his tribe.
The Expedition
Early human nature revolved around the aspect of exploration, and it was no different for Magnar and his tribe. This resonated when one night, the tribe's shaman received a vision in her sleep, and witnessed a vast continent covered in white sand. It was nothing she's ever seen before, and advised to the leaders of the tribe that they must set off to explore what's beyond the seas. It was a unanimous decision, and together the tribe wasted no time in building a massive ship out of wood that will help them sail the seas. They were warriors, cartographers, herbalists, and witches, all united by the facet of exploration that burned deep within them. Their vessel was completed at last, taking several weeks after trial and error. Magnar and his tribe set off to explore the wonders that lied far beyond the infinite waters. With no direction at hand, they relied in the witches and the shaman to protect them from the violent elements. What they were not prepared for, however, was the sudden drop of temperature. The weather changed drastically and unexpectedly for the tribe as it was beginning to get unbearably cold for them. Some tribesmen got sick, but were tended properly by the herbalists. Finally, they saw land; great land covered in white sand as the shaman had foretold. Their boat crashed against sheet of ice and slowly began to sunk. The alarming situation and freezing sensation of the icy-cold water factored in the urgency to keep everyone safe on the land.
