Public Agenda

On the surface, ANN seeks to bring out the truth in Apollo City and the entire archipelago. However, this truth is limited to exactly what The Lightbloods are willing to make public knowledge. While ninety percent of ANN news reports and stories seem unfiltered and surprisingly candid, any story involving the Nosferatu Boys or certain corporate giants that the Lightbloods are in association with are intensely reviewed by the general manager. From there, it is either heavily edited to be a lighter story or scrapped altogether under the premise of being a "scandal" or "insufficiently researched". The Lightbloods seek to slowly take over the archipelago, and eventually the planet, as the dominant species, using the broad influence of the ANN as one of their most powerful tools.

Assets

While ANN itself doesn't have any assets, The Lightbloods who have a major stake in the corporation, as well as several of their liaisons working in it, act as the main financial support.

History

The Apollo News Network started off with Lisa Watanabe after she heard that Ken Masters had annihilated Japan. On vacation in Australia at the time of the event, Lisa was crushed that she had not only lost her only source of income as a production assistant at the All-Nippon News Network but that her entire life had been wiped away. Rather than submitting to the crippling depression many other Far East Asians suffered after the destruction of their homeland, Lisa saw this as an opportunity to start her life over. during a brief stint at Nine Network in Australia, she discovered that an archipelago had formed near the infamous Masters Dojo and that Ken Masters had finally been killed. With the added bonus of re-establishing contact with several Japanese colleagues and friends she believed dead, she caught a plane to the haven they migrated to -- Apollo City.    There, Lisa met with Supreme Ochi Hasubari after seeing how many scandal rags and propaganda news organizations had popped up in lieu of a legitimate news source. Although he agreed with Lisa about her concerns, Supreme Hasubari believed that the city's safety was, at that time, more important than establishing a news station and made tough decisions with the funding he received from Apollo's citizens. Only days later, Lisa was emailed by a representative of the Lightbloods about the opportunity to create the largest news network in the entire region. Hesitant at first, she eventually agreed and started to collaborate with several associates of the Lightbloods to clear out a building for the archipelago's first news network. Construction, equipment and initial recruitment was all handled by the Lightbloods, specifically Pavel Kiselyov. It wasn't until the death of Supreme Hasubari and the promotion of Supreme Phillips that the ANN started to become popular with the citizens.   The injustice that happened in the day to day of Apollo City, specifically in Old Town and with the APD, gave ANN the opportunity to reveal what the island was truly like. Even with the Lightbloods' restrictive measures, the current ANN team was responsible for covering the Day of Smoke to hold the Black Shields responsible for their genocide, enlightening the city about various fantastical elements and species of the archipelago & helping advance broadcasting technology in the city. Today, Lisa believes that, although she lost her family to the Far East Destruction, she gained a new family at ANN.
