Eorl Aduarc Varandus
The 11th Eorl of the Dawn is an old man whose voice still cracks like a whip. He always wears some part of his armor but has likely not been in a full suit for over a decade. He is thin in a way that makes one believe he may be shrinking with each passing year. He has three adult children and six grandchildren. His family would be the first to tell a person that he might walk slower but he still moves fast.
The Eorl was known in his time as a canny fighter and negotiator. He and his family members have fought against the Cuth since they first settled onto the seat of the Eorldom of the Dawn. No one in the Varandus family, at least not yet, has failed to gain their battle skills due to the disapproving eye of the Eorl.
His loyalty to the Throne and the Line of Rhuanon has been proven many times throughout his life. He fought against the Presumptuous Lords and any other man or woman who would dare raise a blade to someone he feels is under the protection of the Throne.
Death of Lady Varandus
Gossip has it that his health and 'spark' have faded since his wife passed away six years ago. While he seemed his normal snap-crack self at the last Queen's Tournament there are those who say that in the 55ET Tournament he has started to slow down.Death of Eorl Aduarc Varandus

Morality & Philosophy
The Eorl is known for his piety and certainly seems to draw strength from his faith. He may disappoint the clergymen with his attitude which can be irreverent but he has been a good friend to the Church throughout his reign. There are a number of clergy that accompany him and he often consults with them about matters.
