Ser Kalvan Mannyr
The 3rd son of KIRAD MANNYR, Ser Kalvan was still squiring at the time of the CRUSADE and remained in Rhone with his mentor-knight. He was sworn in as a knight and served ably until the STRUGGLES. After serving several years as a Sworn Knight of Eventide, he was granted permission to marry a handmaiden of lesser nobility. They married in 11 ET and had two children. When the STRUGGLES began, in 18ET, with the death of the Regent Silar Valagos. Ser KALVAN was one of the knights in service to EVENTIDE and in attendance at the meeting-grounds. As the city-grounds erupted into battle and the northerners fled the southern peninsula for their homes there was a great pursuit. In this miles-long encounter, over several days, Ser KALVAN along with his brother, LORD KALUS, were in the van of a harrying group when they were struck by a nighttime ambush. Few survived the encounter and it was Kalvan's brother that returned home bearing his brother's lifeless body on his horse.
