Kysn "Meryll Thyde" Ameth

Kysn Ameth is a Warlock and Frostchild who spent a long time in exile on the islands of Derleth, during that time she was a Wild Magic Sorcerer and Paladin going by the alias' of "Meryll Thyde" and travelled with the Derleth Party.

Description

Kysn is a Female Frostchild with the form of a Half-Elf with High Elven features, she commonly wears a black cloak and top to hide the ice blue skin that now covers her body. Her hair flows like a waterfall, the pale blue fluid falling down on the outside creeps back up on the interior. Beneath her right eye is a scratch on her face that was once a scar when she had flesh.

Activities

Kysn was born in Olvistand 181 years after the Cataclysm to Sealord Regardis Ameth and his mistress, Lucia Feltum. She was originally ignored by her father, but his wife and their children died in an accident in 186, Kysn became the only family the aging Elf had left and thus he embraced her.
For her sixteenth birthday he gifted her a trading ship of her own, The Swift Amethyst, the most prestigious ship in his fleet. To keep the unshackled girl in check as she sailed from port to port, Regardis assigned veteran sailor Robert Underidge as her first mate.
In 205 when Kysn lost The Swift Amethyst to swindlers in Stranden, Robert and other members of her crew attacked her and robbed her of all valuables she had left, though the attempt on her life would be thwarted by two travellers whom Kysn had granted passage from Forthal.
Following her stranding, Kysn took the name Meryll Thyde to avoid being tracked down by her crew out of fear, and her father out of shame. She worked for the criminal gang "the Black Morass" and Ducat Arcanvault as a thief, informant and enforcer until she joined the Derleth Party in 209.
In 209 a Wild Magic surge reduced her age by 9 years, further surges reduced her age to 2. After she was restored to her natural age by Claire Anderson she left the Derleth Party and returned to Parevia to seek treatment for the uncontrollable magic from The Iron Ring and her Uncle.
Upon returning home The Iron Ring refused to treat her, deeming the ritual too dangerous. Instead she sort alternatives in Pavaeria and found Elissi, Ice Queen, who cured her Wild Magic by turning her into a Frostchild.
In the following decades Kysn would travel around the world on brief trips, but would largely remain bound in Olvistand and became Guard Captain of the city during the Eldrazi attacks of 257MR. Members of the council were unhappy with the city Guard being commanded by the daughter of the senile Sealord and appointed her as Ambassador to Arcantris to prevent her from fighting their influence at home.
In 264MR Kysn joined Alivia Delnieve and almost a dozen others to a trip to the Icespine Straight to discover where missing trade ships had been heading. Finding a Dracolich and members of the Orcus Cult, Kysn temporarily allied with the Storms Ward to defeat the cultists. 

Relationships

Aurelia

Aurelia was both mocking and kind to Kysn when they met in Stranden in 209MR, though they didn't naturally click as friends and oft used magic to cover each other in mud with magic. Aurelia eventually caused Kysn to begin recovering from the stage of paranoia and depression that she fell into after being stranded on Derleth. When Aurelia died, Kysn buried her and performed the small ceremony.

Ducat Arcanvault

The criminal contact in Sturzen, the Deep Gnome gave Kysn many jobs before she joined the Derleth Party. Though he wasn't the kind of company she was used to keeping, Ducat's network kept Kysn afloat during her time on the island and introduced her to many contacts such as Rexaries in Feren.

Didier de la Haye

First meeting in the early 260'sMR when Kysn was appointed ambassador to Arcantris. The two really became acquainted when Kysn accompanied a re-united Storms Ward to fight against a cult of Orcus and a Dracolich. Didier was the only member of the Storms Ward interested in continuing adventuring, following their adventure the two sat down to reminisce about their journeys and respective adventuring parties.
