Lord Inquisitor Claude Lestrade
The sinister former head of the inquisition. Deemed to extreme for actions in the Empire, Lestrade now oversees secretive missions linked to the colonial interests of the inquisition.
As head of the inquisition Lestrade oversaw countless arrests and executions, including the arrest and lobotimising of Daniel Murphy and the execution of Sorqaqtani's mother. He also acted as governor of Marais for a time but was removed from the position for brutality.
His past is a mystery but he seems to have an unusual tie to Seamus Murphy . Utah's theory is that they are ex lovers. Either way this tie led him to take the The Oleana under his control.
Lestrade was revealed to have been Murphy's former lover and has been manipulating and tormenting him for years. He was recently defeated when Murphy collapsed the deck of the Devotion under him.
His death finally came when, surviving the wreck of the Devotion, he returned to the Empress to be punished as a lobotomite.

Personal history
Claude Lestrade started out as a young leftenant in the Royal Occulan Guard and was assigned to the secret force of soldiers sent to organise the delivery of arms to the Dwarvik rebels. This led him to work closely with the Murphy family who became the main leaders of the rebellion. He became increasingly involved in the conflict as he got closer to Seamus Murphy. Eventually, Lestrade became trusted enough to fight on the front lines with Daniel Murphy, whom he witnessed using magical powers.
When the rebellion was successful and Dwarvik seceded, Lestrade was promoted to Captain and given command of the Penal colonies in Marais. It was also during this time that he first joined the Seeric Order and began to understand their secretive plots.
