SPY-GL455 (a.k.a. Spyglass)
Generally, SPY-GL455 units handle logistics, navigation, deployment, and communication between all Greysmoke Mercenary forces. They are built on a modified Spectre chassis and are considered expendable in the field. These units often accompany ground forces aboard dropships to provide up-to-date mission information and live surveillance.
Spyglass came off the production line ready to provide tactical information to Lancers during mission briefings, and inform them of mission progress and the status of their mechs during combat, but it was destined for so much more. On his first mission, Spyglass took a stray round to his cranial housing. A Greysmoke engineer Samsky Solmartin saw him on the scrap heap to be repurposed and sneaked him off base to his hab to see what he could do to fix the dead machine.

Spyglass was once the newest model - pride of Greysmoke Mercenary Company, but like the employees of the company, he was thrown to the scrap heap when he was deemed no longer useful. Spyglass is held together with - as he would put it - "Spare parts and a dr-dr-dr-dream."
