Goblin

Goblins are a race of humanoids roughly as tall as dwarves that travel in packs. They can speak several languages, if not very well. They often trade with dark elves and devils, though both do so as a last resort, with much disgust. While not especially proficient at combat, goblins are vicious, and travel in packs. A whole pack can pose a real threat. Be wary: they're more intelligent than they look.   Even more dangerous is the redcap. These goblins can kill on their own, and often command smaller packs of goblins. Redcaps have red eyes instead of black, use pikes as weapons, and always wear red caps on their heads. They will soak these caps in the blood of a fresh kill. Often, they will have grizzled manes of hair. Most human weapons can defeat one, but they are proficient pike masters, and will not give up easily. That is, if you can get past their troops. On the bright side, if you manage to kill a redcap, his army will choose to flee, rather than fight.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Goblins have black eyes (except for redcaps, whose eyes are red) and drooping ears that end in a point. Their teeth are pointed, they have slightly longer-than-average noses, and their skin color can range anywhere from human skin tones to outright green.

Genetics and Reproduction

Goblins reproduce as any animal would. Female goblin births are relatively rare, however.

Ecology and Habitats

Goblins can live anywhere, and will often roam from place to place, traveling in packs. They will usually gather materials to make a temporary camp once they find someplace suitable. After the war, they became a formidable presence on Etrix, and it has since become a regular gathering ground where goblins discuss grievances between tribes.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Goblins are carnivores. They are vicious and merciless hunters, and will often attempt to take down even the largest prey, with the whole pack working together.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Goblins are wary of most other races, and will only do trade or talk with them if absolutely necessary. They get along well with "dark" variants of a race, such as dark elves or pixies, as well as the inhabitants of Hell.
