Human
Humans are a crafty and intelligent race, capable of almost anything they set their mind to. They are not normally magically inclined, but with training and hard work some humans have become incredible sorcerers. Humans' morality can vary greatly, and they often seek personal gain, be it questionable or otherwise. Unfortunately, they are the cause of the Great War, and the destruction of several places mythological races call home. Universally, they are despised.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Humans have two arms and two legs. Their hands and feet have five digits each, and like most races, they have common facial features.
Genetics and Reproduction
Humans reproduce via sexual reproduction.
Ecology and Habitats
Humans can live almost anywhere, adapting well to conditions around them.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Humans are omnivores, and on average, have no particular food preference.

Average Technological Level
Humans are the third most technologically advanced race, surpassed by only elves and angels. Unlike angels and elves, however, humans have the most advanced weapons technology on the planet.
Some of their inventions include, but are not limited to:
- Aeroponics: Mist-based plant cultivation.
- Arachnoweave: Artificial spider-thread clothing. Highly resistant to holes or tears.
- Autonomous Mining Robots: Limited AI placed into a large robot. Designed to mine with surgical efficiency and care.
- Battle/Utility mechs (typically human-piloted)
- Energy Weapons
- Full Virtual Reality (in which a person's mind is connected to a game while their body lies still in the real world)
- Hoverboards
- Hovercars (which produce no waste)
- Interactive hologram tablets/Holo-Interfaces (which can store a limited amount of information, but this limit will expand in the future)
- Jetpacks
- Magic-Repulsion Fields: Every human city after the war was equipped with one of these fields. They prevent any magic from entering the city. They also filter out any remaining magic from within the city, which means no magic can be performed while inside the field.
- Power Armor
- Prototype Cloaking Technology: Clothing made with special synthetic fibers which reject light. This technology does not yet have the capability to cloak planes, tanks, cars, or ships.
- "True" artificial intelligence: Artificial intelligence that has all the personality of a human, but with greater intelligence, placed inside a robotic body. At least one robot occupies every human home. The most common robots are "helper" robots, known as N.I.C.O.s, or "Next-generation Interpersonal Companion Orbot"s. They are equipped to handle most household tasks, such as walking the dog, cleaning, doing the dishes, taking out the garbage, cleaning cat litter, and various other tasks, as well as engaging in conversation, and providing empathy, therapy, and emotional support for their owners. They are also able to help with children and the elderly. Other artificial intelligence robots include:
- G.O.W.D.S.P (Government-Official Weapons Designer and Strategy Planner): This is perhaps the most potent artificial intelligence humanity possesses, and is incredibly well-guarded in Elestrea. The GOWDSP has the capability to run millions of combat scenarios a second, considering an almost unlimited number of variables. It will then provide the most efficient and victory-likely scenario to human government officials, who will then engage based on its strategy. Thus far, all of its strategies have proven effective. It also assists in furthering human weapons technology, and will even improve on current designs if permitted. The human government initiated the war, but it's highly likely that before even making a move, this AI had already predicted the strategy most likely to result in victory, and had provided them with the blueprint for humans' now well-known anti-magical alloy, comprised of plastic and metal. It is unclear how much damage it would cause to the human war effort if this AI were destroyed, but its entire program has been copied, multiple times over, to many different backup file systems and portable storage devices, in case of cataclysmic system failure.

- FREXBO (Fire-Retardant EXtinguisher BOt)
- DIVA (DIsc-VAcuum)
- Turrets/Autocannons: Limited target-detecting AI placed into a gun.
- Universal Analysis Tools: Tools that can scan any material, substance, or chemical and instantly produce extensive information regarding said material.

Common Taboos
Since the war, humans are forbidden from interacting with anything magical of any kind, be it information, spells, potions, or a magical creature itself.
Common Myths and Legends
There have been numerous myths about humans from mythological races since the war began. Stories of torture, or cruelty, or even humans originating from Hell. Humanity is aware of some of these claims, and, depending on the person, will use them to their advantage.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Humans maintain no relationship with any magical or mythological creature, and have unintentionally become a race that is left to itself, as no mythological dares befriend or even attract the attention of a human.
