Old Porticum Gatehouse
History
The Old Porticum Gatehouse is a postern gate in the Walls of Larfleur. The gate was part of the Ghasscari walls of Larfleur, where it was built out of wood. Since the fall of Ghasscar, the gate has been rebuilt several times. In 361 AT, the gate was enlarged and replaced with a stone gate. The gate was shut at night and lead out onto a marshy open space known as Narfirm. The lower Narfirm was used as the Slaughterfields of Larfleur whilst the Proper Narfirm and Upper Narfirm were eventually developed into houses.
