The Lowland Forests

The Black Forest

With a coin-sun above and river beneath, this soil is the most fertile in all of Flux. This has led to an extremely dense forest consisting of various large trees and brush which create a natural barrier. It's said to be so inundated in magic, someone could carve out grooves large enough to live in then stand back and watch as it heals. The creatures who abide here are known as "dryads", and not even the Inland creatures would dare wander into their territory.

Geography

Not even the finest blade could fit between these towering monstrosities on the Inland side, but this space grows wider as the forest approaches the Lowlands. Here, wild souls might slip into this pitch-black abyss of wood and faerie creatures, where they will be forever lost to the world of all-consuming shade.

This impressive belt extends across the entire Lowland edge, a naturally defining oddity which neatly divides these continents. It seems almost impossibly neat, as if covering a seam where the world was spliced together during its creation. There is no event like this recorded, but this can't discourage Fluxer theories.

Fauna & Flora

This wood is dominated by the Steel Trees, which are said to have evolved from grass to be nearly indestructible. The brush between them is riddled with barbs that slice through flesh like razors, which is probably why the forest is dominated by spirit creatures. This could also be due to the high concentration of magic that has built up in this area for no apparent reason.

Natural Resources

Steelwood is used in the construction of large ships, since it is both lightweight and extremely durable. There isn't much else to gather from this area, with the exception of a few massive fruits and herbs that spot its outer edge.
