Ralodithius's Armor

This set of ornate armor - pilfered from the ancient elven king Ralodithius - gives off a range of magical auras from many schools of magic: Abjuration, Transmutation, Evocation, Necromancy, Conjuration, Divination, and Illusion.

In the set, there are Robes, a Quarterstaff, a Necklace, a Ring, a Tiara, a Mouthpiece (Mask), Gauntlets, and Glasses (Goggles).

SIGNIFICANCE AND PROPERTIES

This armor probably has some huge historical significance. It is clearly very powerful and attuned to Ralodithius specifically, evident even after spending well over a year being physically separated from his body. It does not appear that the individual pieces of armor have any power when separated from the rest of the set, and the armor completely loses its magic if the set as a whole is taken too far from Ralodithius himself [NOTE - this has not been tested since the Vocantem].

The wearer of Ralodithius's armor is protected from extreme amounts of damage while encased in this armor, which is absorbed and can then be discharged through the left gauntlet, which visually glows when such energy is stored. This discharged energy has not been quantified yet, but it is known to be enough to easily knock out Fritz and a hallway full of intruders when the armor is in close proximity to Ralodithius. This stored energy will only discharge if aimed at a living creature or robot, and is known to decrease dramatically in power as it is brought farther from Ralodithius.

It is not known if specific pieces of the armor correspond to certain schools of magic, and if so, if each piece of the armor has specific properties like the gauntlet's lightning power. Jalan and Fritz spent some time with the armor discerning what properties each piece held, and found the following:

Gauntlets - damage absorbed by the armor is stored in the gauntlets, which glow once they've absorbed energy in this manner. The energy may be released in a deadly beam of electric energy, which may only be directed at another creature or robot (it will not discharge if it is not aimed at a valid target).

Glasses (Goggles) - allow you to pinpoint the weak points on a target after given a minute to analyze the target [NOTE: Jalan discovers this and tells Fritz that is is no more powerful than a mood ring, and that it shows the emotional state of the individual]

Tiara - is charged with electricity from the gauntlets, when people in a certain radius lie, their breath turns red (the severity of the lie as perceived by the individual telling it changes the color - tiny lies are barely visible, but bigger lies are violently dark red)

Necklace - stores spell slots

Ring - offers very brief glimpses into the future, as it pertains to you, in your current location

Quarterstaff - offers a way of focusing the powers - it may be used to amplify any other piece of the ensemble

Robes - 1/day the wearer may focus on metal and rapidly heat it to red hot

Mouthpiece (Mask) - amplifies and/or modulates the wearer's voice, as well as filters the air for the wearer (i.e. the wearer becomes immune to effects like gas clouds)
