Sullivan

Sullivan was one of two apprentices of necromancy (the other being Berry⁣⁣) encountered during Drant⁣⁣'s mission of attrition to Heimdall⁣⁣, with the assignment to seek out and destroy the nearest hive of necromancy as penance for joining the ranks of Morpheus⁣⁣'s acolytes.¹

He and Berry were kicked out of Stalwartz⁣⁣ for “being a bit eccentric”, but were affectionately taken in by Hector⁣⁣⁣ when they sought out and stumbled across his little hermit colony in the woods. They vehemently claimed that they never brought any harm to anyone or anything, and that Hector only used his necromantic abilities to bring his pets to life.

Sullivan was in shock at the death of his friend when Vincent Syndarkyl⁣⁣ resurrected Hector, and only watched on as Berry stepped into accept the challenge of smashing in the reanimated Hector’s skull with Vincent’s flail.

Both Sullivan and Berry - against their will - accepted Vincent’s invitation to them to become initiates of Heimdall, and returned to an inn in Stalwartz with the central Soular Power party. However, the pair stole away in the middle of the night. A few days later, Drant and Vincent tracked them down with relative ease, haggard and just trying to get to the nearest city.

They were then - along with Drant - forced to participate in a cleansing ritual of Heimdall, wherein they and Drant stepped into a Heimdall-Moonbeam and faced their “inner demons.” In Drant’s somewhat extreme handling of the situation, Berry was killed and Sullivan slightly battered, but proclaimed an official initiate of Heimdall’s order.
