Nillannas was a prominent elven city in southern Obia in the Great Sylvian Forrest. for some uknown reason, the city was subbjected to a massive magical explosion of unknown origin leaving nothing but a large crater and removing a lot of the surrounding forrest with no known survivors, ending it's almost 3000 year old history. The destruction of Nillannas was immidatly followed by
Rainor’s’ s Proclamation marking the end of the great war 10 years ago from the modern age
Nillannas in the great war.
Nillannas was a prominanat force in the Alliance of Others and is considered by many war scholars instramental in holding the Tahage Dynasty Empire back from conquering all of Obia.
Its king (or Aran as elves use), Aran Luvon Nulanus along with the prince of the city state was well loved and respected both in the city and in The Alliance of Others for their keen battle senses and sensible rule. Head high wizard Gul'durion Lar who held office similar to prime minister and advisor to the Aran, was at the time considered the greatest magician of his time
At the time of its destruction, more than 90% of its population were elves, however they did garrison other races from the
The Alliance of Others. A very small percentage of humans did reside in the city though were considered unwelcome.
Nillanas was ruled by an elven form of Monarchy called the Aronship with its leader called the Aran. The Aran is a carefully selected from the Nulanas Bloodline, its leader bred and educated for leadership roles required for the age.
Nillanas was famous for its knowlege of high magic. The ability to cast spells beyond the normal scope of mortal capability. Unlike many human cities, Nillanas didnt have a formal university or school of teaching. Owing to High Elves' long life, learners of the high arts would simply come together to problem solve, copy each other and learn through trial and error. before the war, humans would sometimes try and learn from the elves in a hope to attain high magic, though the limitations of human lifespan and how quick to frustration they can be as direct tutoring was rare in elven culture meant that no human has ever been known to aquire high magic.
Following the destruction of Nillanas, it is thought that this ancient art is now lost forever.
