Shayrid Empire (/ʃeːɾid/)
Eternal rival of the Rexan and Eknon Empires, the Shayrid Empire has stood astride the lands of Arhania, gateway to the Dragon Silk Road, for six centuries. Due to its central geographical location between Ione and Aeolia, the Shayrids have grown to be one of the wealthiest nations on Tel through its control of land and sea trade routes between the two continents. In addition, the Shayrid Empire is one of the most advanced Human nations on Tel, with its multitude of libraries overflowing with texts from all across the globe.
The ruling Shayrid dynasty was founded when Siavash I rose to power after leading a rebellion against the last monarch of the former Prativan Empire, Mitrabanus V, who was killed in 576 AR during the Battle of Domahagan.
