Bane Star

The Bane Star, also known as Plut'kesh's Jewel or the Heartblood Star, is a prominent violet-red -colored star and the brightest along with Maetes and the Wellspring Star, the three of them grouped in Icalaran astrology as the three major stars. Their remarkably straight line of east-west travel, equidistant from one another, forms what is known as the Heavenly Road. It is not part of any constellation, but is widely used in navigation and features in many myths in both a positive and foreboding light.
Joibri Vil'rabenen's Uon spells often had a violet hue and, considering she often used both Uon and Rel, the combined red-violet colors meant she was sometimes called the Bane Star; this is reflected in Akasien Ttarvek's war poem "The Epic of the Hidden".
