Peithya Bocohs (Pay-THIGH-uh BOHK-uss)

the Earnest, the Risen

Peithya Bocohs, also known as Peithya the Earnest or Peithya the Risen (the latter being more common among channelers, is a key figure in channeler history. Most critically, they are credited with removing much of the stigma that once surrounded the practice.

Peithya was born in the Almighty Shift period, when channeling was largely viewed in a superstitious if not outright fearful lens -- arguably one of the driving forces behind the formation of organized military systems if not modern governments. Nonetheless they were an accomplished and unusual dual practitioner of ArĂ© (as a Cleric) and Rel, educated by the Bonefire Circle, and valued and respected by their town. They strongly believed that channeling -- manifested tree regardless -- was something to be embraced and that channelers were assets to their communities, and slowly built of a following of others pushing for greater acceptance and understanding of the practice.   In Peithya's latter years they oversaw the first authoring of the Bloodsinger Codex as a show of good faith, in that it began to encourage channelers to hold themselves accountable among their peers. After their death they were also honored with the establishment of Peithya's Feast.
