Bael (a.k.a. The Prince of Ambition)

Bael is a nascent demon lord known as The Harbinger of Chaos. Unlike many demons Bael does not exhibit the primal nature of demons and is instead very intelligent and cunning. Through his rise to power he has played the ever faithful servant to Lamashtu slowly building his own powerbase and followers both demon-kind and mortal. Bael has been appointed as one of Lamashtu's Generals and he has garnered promising results conquering whole forts and even cities; then establishing demon occupation and governance of these locations. Bael's flaw is his arrogant and cocky personality leading him to limit his power during his incarnations onto the mortal plane to feel the thrill of combat. Recently he was slain by a group of heavenly imbued heroes known as The Syndicate, one of whom carries his demonic blood within him. This death was short lived as he reincarnated back in the abyss eager to return to the frontlines and interact with these amusing adventurers. Bael has ascended into something no long demon, but not quite devil through his strong beliefs in governance of his controlled cities and his personal code. He has achieved power rivaling that of a Demon Lord, but not fueled by solely the abyss.
