Church of the Fallen

The Clergy of the fallen is a cult headed by Thavius Kreeg, the former head of faith in the city of Elturel who in 1496 revealed himself as a servant of Zariel. The extent to which the cult operates is unknown but the group is responsible for the development and subsequent release of The Bloodthorn plague. They have a significant presence within Avernus, and a notable presence within the prime material.

Operations in the prime material

The Church of the fallen had a large following within the city of Elturel and the neightboring city of Baldurs Gate. Primarily moving in the upper circles of nobility within the regions, swaying key personel to their side. They have been the orchestrators to a great deal of misdeeds throughout their time, the most recent of which is The Bloodthorn plague aswell as the fall of Elturel.

Operations in the 9 Hells

The Church of the fallen, despite what its name would suggest is a covert research operation. Conducting research in the name of strengthening Zariels forces in the blood war, the group is known to conduct research on often dangerous and unusual phenomenons that can be found within the Emergences of Avernus. The group is rumoured to be responsable for a great deal of biological weaponry used within the blood war, however no concrete evidence has been established.

Ranks

High Lord

The rank of high lord is afforded only to the leader and founder of the organisation, the previous head of faith, Thavius Kreeg.

Inner Council

The Inner council is made out of the most trusted and competent of Thavius Kreegs servants. These people were largely active inserving the church before their death in the prime material, and given high positions and the forms that accompany those positions after their deaths. They are almost universally powerful and capable warriors and schemers. Known Members

Servant

Servants of the Church are the most common and most prolific rank within the organization, this rank encompases both researchers and military personel that has signed a contract or is otherwise dedicated to the organization.

Supplicant

Servants of the church who are yet to sign a contract. These can include mortals who have yet to fully commit to the organization or devils that are being poached, or mercenary units such as yugoloths that cannot be trusted with detailed information or be fully immersed within the group.
