Festan (a.k.a. Cleaver)
Festan is a warrior and gladiator in the fighting ring of
Greger's Grotto. A proud and aloof
Dark Elf (Drow), he resists socializing and is feared by most of the other prisoners. He carries a dark past that
Godrick Greger seeks to unhinge for his own dark pursuits.
Though he resists interacting with people, his desire to become a warrior of import and renown may motivate him to join forces with the right comrades.
Physical Description
Festan is athletic and lithe and severe. Years of martial training made him strong and capable; his time in the
wilds of northern
Cetan honed his will to survive; in the gladiatorial ring of
Greger's Grotto, he became a fearsome warrior, and now stands proud and aloof.
Festan's skin is a murky onyx marred by hard years of living. He is scarred extensively on his back, and his face is haggard, making him appear much older than he is.
Festan's ears are riddled with holes from the numerous piercings he acquired over the years. The jewelry was all taken from him when he was captured by raiders.
Mental characteristics
He does not know exactly what happened to his family, though he presumes they are all dead. He has since renounced his family name, and took up the name "Cleaver" in the gladiatorial ring of
Greger's Grotto instead.
Personality Characteristics
Festan wants to become a warrior worthy of praise and celebration.
Festan is dedicated and proud, and believes wholly in his own capabilities. This confidence is a survival response to the abuse and neglect he suffered throughout his life.
Festan is slow to trust, and resists people who he does not know. He lacks any real charisma.
History
Haguur and Festan met in the pits of the Grotto. They fought regularly in the arena, but were never charged with killing one another. Though Haguur boasts otherwise, he is fairly certain the aloof dark elf would have been able to kill him. They have a wary regard for each other, neither displaying much kindness, though Haguur does respect Festan's acumen as a fighter. Festan does not return this respect.
