Corvega City Settlement in The Great Dust Bowl | World Anvil

Corvega City

Built in the ruins of Dodge City, this sprawling complex was built to design new Chryslus models at the specifications of wealthy shareholders. To limit corporate espionage, the manufacturing was automated, as was the security. Only the showroom was open to the public, though a good percentage was simply a trophy room and not for actual sale. A playground for economic titans, it was built so well it even managed to survive the nuclear fallout.

When the dwellers of Vault 200 stumbled back upon it in 2115 some were old enough to have been registered in the biometric scans. This allowed them to bypass the defenses and move right into a treasure trove of untouched pre-war tech and resources. They turned to slavery and the chem trade after failing to grow crops in the barren land created by the Great Dust Bowl, but have never been afraid to ‘eat their profits’ in times of scarcity. Because of this, even the ghoul warlords keep them at arm's length during dealings and never stay after sunset.

Their infamy really exploded when they welcomed the dwellers from Vault 191 into their fold. With the ability to manufacture chems they not only had a brand new income, it was just the bait they needed to draw in future slaves. With more resources and more products to sell, they became much bolder than they have been in the past. It is not uncommon for skirmishers to harry the Vault Crawler and carry off anyone that can’t make it to safety in time.

Type

Accepted Currencies

  • Caps are preferred as they are the easiest tender to exchange across the Great Dust Bowl. Prices for slaves and chem deals are set in caps.

  • Pre-war Money is accepted in certain deals as it can be traded to specific merchants but suffers from lack of demand. It currently exchanges for twenty bills per cap.
