VANTA - The System’s Edge Climate: Tundra Terrain: Wasteland, Craters, ??? Population: Very Low In all likelihood, a majority of the hiveworld’s populace doesn’t even know of this dwarf planet’s existence— partially due to the lack of effective public education and mostly due to the sheer distance and obfuscation by near-constant localized warp storms. Invisible to all but the most sophisticated star maps, Vanta is as unremarkable as it is completely devastated by natural disasters and space debris vomited forth from the warp. The Emperor-forsaken rock on the edge of the system provides a bleak solitude for those criminals, outcasts, and butchers that are incompatible with even the hiveworld’s brutally savage and backwards society. Even the gangs and death cults of the hive-slums want absolutely nothing to do with the “people” of the stellar backwater, and will go great lengths to avoid so much as passing by the planet— except when carrying cargo so dangerous and valuable as to warrant using the tempest to hide from the prying eyes of the Imperium and High Lords. Even the warp storms seem to have become more tumultuous and unstable in recent years. Perhaps this is coincidence. Perhaps there is something much more foul and malignant at play...
