The Mist Queen
The Mist Queen rose to power during the invasion of Maracas, once one of the Free People, she made a deal under duress and joined the Mist King. She continued to support the Free People, killing the Mist King to ensure that the hero's did not need to fight a war on two fronts. The Free People agreed to the deal and aided the Queen in retrieving the Mist Kings heart, in order for her to take full control over the mists.
Oaths are clearly important to the Mist Queen and the war began after the Free People broke the treaty they had with her, by claiming Siluria from the mists grasp. She had her mist council sit with the Free People and agree the terms of War and had strictly followed the agreement for engagement.
She is linked to her mist walkers, and has been creating new mist beings from the potential of the mists. Under her the mists has gained a personality and emotions, whereas its natural state is akin to a force of nature. Like the ocean.
She has made deals with individual groups and it is said that names have power. May of the Free People will not use her title of the Mist Queen and will only refer to her as Etsuko, her original name when she walked with the free people.
