The Yellow Republic
Many perceive The Yellow Republic to be tyrants who rule the seas with a combination of vicious Minotaur ships and devastating batteries of cannons. This may be correct to an extent, but they are no more tyrants than the Taranthians, and are keen to trade with others, offering vast wealth that they have gained from their monopoly on gunpowder weapons. The Yellow Republic houses Goliaths, Minotaur, and Goblins, though it is the goliaths and minotaur who are most frequently seen. The power of The Yellow Republic originates in their discovery of gunpowder, created from the sulfur, coal, and minerals found in the crater of a great volcano that makes up most of the northlands where goliaths live, and goblins live beneath. The goblins turned this powder into powerful weapons that goliaths and minotaur incorporated into their naval ships, leading to a period where The Yellow Republic ruled the oceans - hence their reputation as tyrants. The people of The Yellow Republic worship Oka, The Yellow Faced god, whom the goliaths view as a sun god and the goblins view as a giver of knowledge.
Geography
Much of The Yellow Republic's terrain is dominated by the mountain ring and crater that make up the Goliath homelands. These mountains are treacherous and virtually unknown to non-natives of The Yellow Republic, and are interspersed with caves and tunnels that house settlements and entire cities of Goblins. In the south the mountains relent into hills and eventually plains, homes of the Minotaur who live around the bay of Kruslain.
Shadow Peak is the largest mountain in The Yellow Republic, and houses Blackdepth, the Goblin capital.
Natural Resources
The volcanic mountain ranges are home to the vital components needed to create gunpowder, making this the prime power and export of The Yellow Republic.
