Chriogrim the Broken
KREE-o(h)-grimm
His cruoric arcanity, the ambassador for Eox, Chriogrim (a.k.a. “Chriogrim the Broken”)
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Chriogrim's physical form has atrophied into a skeletal figure centuries ago, leaving nothing but a paper-thin layer of skin over some parts of his body. He adorns his body with expensive robes which serve to hide the various technologies that protect him or otherwise grant an advantage to his goals.
Body Features
As an undead being, Chriogrim suffers none of the usual frailties that concern mortal beings. Although such benefits are most often considered in the context of war, he has adjusted their use for a different style of combat: politics.
Sleep is not an issue for him, allowing him to work late into the night. Diseases and poisons that occasionally sweep through the population of Absalom Station are similarly ignored.

Special abilities
As with all necrovites, Chriogrim wields powerful technomantic powers, earned after years of studying.
Additionally, the unnatural ritual that sustains his lichdom also slowly heals his physical form of lesser wounds, and maliciously saps the will of those nearby.

Mental characteristics
Personal history
- Gained the epithet “the broken” when Chriogrim lost his power in a 'war' between Bone Sages. Although he managed to survive physically, he was locked politically into a serving the planet of Eox as an ambassador - and can't own land on Eox while doing so.
- Agreed to mediate between Astral Extractions and the Hardscrabble Collective as a neutral party.
- 24/10/324AG: Sent the PCs to investigate the Drift Rock on his behalf. Also requested them to acquire a 'package' while they were there.
- 24/10/324AG: When the Sunrise Maiden docked in Absalom Station, Chriogrim sent his ghoul butler in one of his personal transports to collect them - but the PCs chose to enter Orgren's hovertaxi (with Urbemor) instead, slighting the necrovite. After vital information about the Drift Rock was provided to the Starfinder Society first, the PCs eventally delivered the information to Chriogrim. He paid them the agreed upon sum and then dismissed them from his service. Tyrfing offered their services for in the near future, but was politely ignored.

Social Aptitude
As an ambassador, Chriogrim is even more skilled at social endeavours than other necrovites. Many creatures remain wary of him, though, as they are fully aware of a necrovite's ability to control the minds of weak-willed undead creatures.

Considerable. Despite being a 'declawed' Bone Sage, Chriogrim still retains a considerable wealth of assets and lesser favours rivalling kings and countries.

Author's Notes
Previously the more amenable Galavask Nor, Chriogrim was renamed using the far more evocative necromancer name generator, and combined with [another character from the Dead Suns campaign]. Altogether, his involvement in the plot becomes much more consistent and his appearance in other campaigns (such as Devastation Ark) will now contain a much more powerful meaning.
