Leviathan, The winged god (L-eh-vy-ah-th-ehn)
The Screams yet echoed throughout the Isles.
Upon the green and the rock of the Isles shimmered the dark of the red of the first blood. The soul of the first dead had left its body, and Pain had ripped into the lands for the first time. How destructive was the rage of Cyndiran, the Dread Queen; how mortifying the fear of the newly mortal creatures. The war of the Aether raged on in the smoke and mist of the deadened realm, yet in the peaceful lands beyond lay the Isles newly born. In the towering mountains of south Arcadia, a roiling flow of molten stone rested in the mouth of mount Ceruleus. And a mist of the blood of the Soulless one, Orcill, rested in the air over the peaks. And night began to set.
As the mist cooled and settled unto the peak of the mount, the mouth of that volcano burned and boiled it away again. Yet in the cool air it would fall, and rise again, and fall, and rise. And from this dance of air was born Leviathan, father of drakes.

The drake father then spread his wings for the first, and found his span restrained on all sides, trapped within the narrow mouth of the volcano. In anger he burst through the stone, and ate of the rock. And the dragon-father grew, to a length of 2,000 tics, to a wingspan of near the same. And his hungering burrowed the cavernous halls of the Drakish mounts - and where each crack would fill with the first blood was born a Drake. Whence his hunger abated he made mind to seek artists and masons and servants of all kind. And came hosts of angels and celestials from 'round the Isles to seek the beauty of the Drakes, and find solitude in their halls. And the Drakes set to the skies, and hunted and sought their glory in all corners of the realms. And thus they spread across the mountains of Arcadia, across the northlands valley, and unto lands beyond. And rose up traitors and liars who persuaded away hosts of the Drakes from their lord. And came hosts of Drake who broke to become ruled by themselves. Yet still the roiling flame flows through all. And deep within the hollows or mount ceruleus lives the King of Drakes, lord of those of whom burn within.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
"I had wandered up to the peaks of Mount Lalithi, I was foraging for roots and precious stones. The roots, of course, for myself - the stones for sale in market. Utron root is exceptionally smoky and enjoyable, and you can find it pretty easily there. The mountain is always filled with opals and amethysts and cirtrines, and sometimes even sapphire - they appear there by some means, I'm sure beyond mortal comprehension. In any case, as I was peering off the edge for the pathway down, I heard the most frightening roar. It came from Mount Ceruleus, which was around 39 miles off in the distance. The fact that I could still hear it means that it was, of course, impossibly loud; and were I even a few miles nearer, I'm sure I would have been half-deafened. Up from the mouth of that high volcano came a collection of winged shapes, swirling about. And following behind the first few, what must have been 70, came the largest shape - the grandest form, the mightiest of them. Leviathan, lord of the drakes, was flying out from the volcano - and I got to watch. He must have been 400, no 500 tics long! Huge! And covered in enormous scales, shining in the golden sun of the late evening. They were bronze, orangish; golden, yet black. Those enormous eyes, they were each golden red, filled with glory and rage. I couldn't imagine a more noble and wonderful sight. Mount Ceruleus is 23 miles tall, yet it seemed as if he dwarfed the mountain; that's how mighty he seemed. He had six horns, a bold triangular snout, and the fiercest teeth and claws you could fathom! Tics long, I swear! Steam came from every pore on his body, the sheer fury of his flesh evaporating the water of the air. His troop swung low over the mountain, and I cowered in terror - who wouldn't?! Yet, as they came to the crest where I was, I saw the bulk of them split off, until 8 of them circled above me - including the king. I was in a clearing, and it occured to me just then, "oh hells, I'm in one of their resting places!". The 8 landed on the edge of that valley, and in a flash of blazing light, turned into humans! Or something like them, I guess. I'd heard that drakes could do such a thing, but I never guessed I get the chance to see it true! They began conversing with themselves, and wandering about the trees. Leviathan was shadowed by four of them, his attendants I presume, and he came to lie down by a tree - the tree I was hiding behind! I peered at him in his humanlike form. His skin was the same shade as his Drakish form, dark coppery black. His hair was bright, glistening steely gray - a crisply styled. His eyes were that same solid goldish-red. Just seeing him was thrilling yet terrified. For my safety however, I started to back away. I stepped on a stick that had fallen, and his eyes turned to face me. He stared at me for a moment, and then a furious, utterly inhuman roar erupted from his lips. And the next moment, I was gone."
-- Hythen Singersly, an amateur horticulturist and explorer from Pur, who stumbled upon a garden of Leviathan whilst camping and foraging in the Drakes Mounts in south Arcadia. He continues his explorations to this very day.
