Cosmonaut Pantheon

The divine beings that make up the Cosmonaut Pantheon are known as Cosmos, which are celestial embodiments of the natural forces of the Reach. Cosmos' will draw the power from entire domains of nature, but have multiple identities that they are known through in different parts of the Reach. This means many different cultures have vastly different purposes for worshipping Cosmonauts. Cosmos complicated identities were formed by thousands of years of worship from groups that praised them for numerous reasons. This list contains the most well known Cosmos in the Reach, but lesser ones are known to all but hide their identity as a powerful celestial being and choose to make their dominion isolated areas within the Reach.

Culture

Cosmos are known throughout the Reach, but different regions have different relationships and understanding of the Cosmonauts. From this fractured understanding of aspects of divine aspects of the Cosmos, Devas were formed. Devas are formed when certain attributes of a Cosmos are worshipped in a region, forming a sub-indentity of sorts for the Cosmos that was been fostered by it's worship by certain cultures. This means Cosmos can have varying different identities that are somewhat in contradiction with one another.

Divine Origins

The Cosmonauts are beings that are not well understood by many mortals within the Reach. They are sentient deities that seem to draw power from the most fundamental aspects of the Reach like the ground and the waters. It is unknown if the Cosmos came before the Reach and created nature, or if it was the Reach that formed the Cosmos as an embodiment of it's natural forces in divine form. The power each of these deities draws from influences their effect on the Reach as well. For example, a Cosmonaut of the oceans would be a chaotic force that does not play favorites with anyone.

Granted Divine Powers

There are numerous ways in which people find themselves granted powers by one of the many Cosmonauts. This can mean that individuals are born with natural affinities, or through great devotion to a Deva one can be granted power. Although Deva's can be worshipped by people from across the Reach, their followers are often granted a wide array of powers. This means that holy defenders and villainous warriors and all that fall between can invoke the same name but be granted different powers.
