SummerCamp 2021 Pledge Document

I, Kaleidechse, pledge to work on the following during Summer Camp 2021.

My Project

I will be working on "Nonfi Nis - The Empty Night". It will be my first video game intended for actual publication, as a practice piece for my big dream project.

My World

I will be working on my main world, the Kaleidoscope System.

My Focus Area

Time

I will be working on the time period around the Final War. I will mostly cover the years 50 NZR to 0 VZR. I may also look into the earlier history of the Rilanga Union and Ran-E-Zu Confederation.

Space

I will be working on the region to the south-east of the Ralenlos Mountains. This includes:

• the shelter of the Op family
• the shelter of the Lo family
• the path between them
• the original home of the Op family
• the original home of the Lo family

My Goal

I will complete at least the 20 prompts required for Silver. After that, I'll try to reach Diamond, depending on how well things go.

My Schedule

I will try to take my vacation during the last week of July and the beginning of August. I will write primarily during these time slots:

• 19:00 to 20:00 on work days
• 10:00 to 11:30 on weekends and vacation days
• 15:00 to 19:30 on weekends and vacation days

My Support Network

I will turn to the following people and communities to discuss my ideas and difficult prompts:

• my immediate family, in particular my sister
• the WA community
• the "Golden Dragon Tavern" community on DeviantArt and Discord
• other worldbuilders I've met on DeviantArt and/or Twitter

Article Release Plan

First Release during Summer Camp

1. Read through the draft once more to make sure that it feels complete.
2. Add an "author's note" asking for feedback.
3. Publish the article.
4. Notify my followers.
5. Add the article block to the overview article.
6. Tweet about it.
   • brief summary of the article
   • mention WorldAnvil
   • hashtags: #WASummerCamp #worldbuilding #originalworld

Addition of Artworks

1. Submit all related artwork(s) to DeviantArt.
   • link to the article on WorldAnvil
   • tags to include: worldbuilding, originalworld, kaleidoscope_system
2. Spread the word about the artwork(s).
   • submit them to DeviantArt groups which fit the theme and medium
   • tweet about the new art on DeviantArt
3. Notify my followers on WorldAnvil, with a comment like "added proper art for <xyz>".

Returning the Favor

• Every day, I will read at least three articles by people I follow.
• Whenever I post to Discord or Reddit, I will read at least one other article posted there.
• I will do my best to provide feedback on the articles I read.

Showcasing Selected Articles

1. Check that the layout is clear and balanced.
2. Ensure that the placeholders have been replaced.
3. Post the article in #guild-showcase on the WA Discord.
4. Post the article on r/WorldAnvil.
   • "article" flair
   • attaching the most relevant illustration
   • including a question about the topic
5. Optional: Repeat the step 4 with other appropriate subreddits.
