Cult of the Red Sisters
"Underneath the Sacred StonesThe Cult of the Red Sister is the prevalent faith among the Antari Highlander's, concentrated primarily in The Antar Highlands
we spin, and spin, and spin,
the Weave of every churl and king,
then cut! and start again. And all along the blighted heath,
we'll spin, and spin, and spin.
The Loom contains the threads of all,
your fellows, kith and kin."
.
Mythology & Lore
The Red Sisters wove this land into existence at the dawn of time. They cut the strands to measure all of Banteave, formed the ridges of the Backbone with piles of wool, and left ragged edges along the Seaward Coast. They wove the Antari people into the tapestry and watched them spring to life, dancing about whenever their fingers were laid upon the loom.
But the Red Sisters were not the only ones creating life and lands, and soon the creations of other gods came upon Banteave. They beheld the beauty of their tapestry and desired it for their own ends, and soon began a war of conquest that left the tapestry frayed, charred and soaked in blood.
The Red Sisters were dismayed, but knew that if the struggle continued the tapestry would be left in ruins and the world would come undone. So they pulled on their strings and worked the loom until treaties were drawn and their creations were safe among the Highlands, close to the Sacred Stones under which the Red Sisters dwelled. Years passed, then decades, then centuries. The Red Sisters continued their weaving, even as the invaders built tall castles, called themselves king and queens, and defaced the great monuments to the Sisters scattered throughout the Heartlands.
There will be a time for reckoning. There will always be a reckoning. But none can see the patterns in the Weave save for the Sisters and their chosen druids. We all have our parts to play as thread upon their grand designs.
But some of us are chosen to not be the thread, but the needle...

Divine Origins
The Red Sisters first spoke to the Antari people in 290, and the first formalized druidic order dedicated to them formed four years later.
Tenets of Faith
The Three Sisters are the Spinner, the Weaver and the Shear, each representing a different tent of their faith.
The Spinner creates the world from nothingness, spinning thread out of her own blood. She is resourceful, giving, crafty and capable. She espouses inner strength, cunning and the cycle of crops in Banteave.
The Weaver takes the thread from the Spinner and shapes it into the grand patterns that make up the world and its people. She is calculating, methodical, intricate and all-knowing. She connects the threads of fated individuals together that their paths might cross, intertwine and part to keep the entirely of the Weave intact. She espouses order, creativity, planning and the natural order of things.
The Shear cuts out the snarls in the Weave that threaten to upset the tapestry. Everything ends, and the Shear is the one who ends it. Every thread meets her knife in the end, from the lowliest peasant to the greatest chief. She espouses retribution, vengeance, inevitability and mortality. She collects the fallen strands she cuts and feeds them to the Spinner, and the cycle begins anew.
