Lowenna Benett Oake
General Lowenna Bennett Oake (a.k.a. The Lioness)
A mighty general and scion of the great House Oake , Lowenna the Lioness distinguished herself on the battlefield against peasant uprisings and during countless border skirmishes against belligerent Ostamber raiding parties. A devil with a blade, her list of triumphs grew with every season, and many believed she had caught the eye of House Dillestone, seeking a match for their heir Erick.
But their union was not to be. During the dwindling days of The Tambar Rebellion, Lowenna's position was overrun. Though she fought valiantly, her wounds proved to be too great to bear. She died with sword and shield in hand, a testament to Oake bravery and perseverance, only finally breathing her last once all her foes were dead.
House Dillestone , humbled by the costly sacrifice House Oake had made in their service, made arrangements for Lowenna to be buried in the Garden of Valour. However, their invitation was spurned by Oake, who instead interred Lowenna in their family catacombs within Ninetaver.
