Axew
Born into a small Kobold clan in Deridas, Axew and his clan always struggled to find enough food to survive. He was only a couple years into maturity when the Godkillers attempted to move through his clans cave and were attacked by him and his clanmate for their food. To his confusion after defeating him, instead of killing him, they offered him fish. He hadn't had fish in years despite it being his favorite food. He scarfed it down despite his fears as his hunger overcame his distrust.
These kind strangers pushed for his trust and got him to convince his clanmates to allow them safe passage. On their way back through they realized that while his clan was doomed, there was little they could do to help them all. They resolved to at least save the young kobold, who they named Axew after the small makeshift axe he wielded. Convinced to leave his clan for his own survival, he joined the Godkillers as their friend and companion, with Phantom the one who gifted him the fish in the first place, as his closest friend.
As a full fledged member of the airship's crew, he was given an improved axe and armor handmade by Nozamere and assisted them in their efforts against Balimor. After the war was over he returned to Unity with Phantom and stood as his steadfast companion and happily helped the Felis get around, which was much more difficult after losing his magical spark and receiving extensive injuries in the war. Axew even learned a few words in common in the process of living amongst civilization.
Later in his life he assisted Phantom in defending the island from Shadir - God of Hatred and the returning Deridah, but lost his leg in the process of defending his friend from a beam of pure corruption. Axew spent the last years of his life being helped in turn by his friend Phantom who was at his side until the very end.
