History
The Godkillers are the group directly responsible for ending the scourge of Balimor. They were selected by Adam Faera after being found by Maximilian Caelos V, Iman, and Thaler. Some from Loredas, others from Shard who were recruited for their familiarity with the land.
They traveled on the Liberation 3-C airship throughout Loredas finding ways to get through increasingly thick barriers of corruption and discovering more of the nature of Balimor and how to stop it. They eventually were able to use The Lighthouse to sap the last of the light from the sun to reach the core of Balimor.
It was at that moment that Asch Figthorn revealed his terrible betrayal and awakened the dormant god fully, allowing him to wreak destruction on the land. The godkillers used the genius of their engineers on the ship, with Jakki's powerful sorcery of time magic to simultaneously destabilize all of the sources of corrupted power that were originally used in the ritual to summon the god.
Finally, they returned to Samuel Eshpard's side, giving him the Aether power that they stole from the sun for their ship, as he stood against the god, holding it back from Loredas, the last safe place. With the combined might of the Arcs Federation, and the new Loredasan gods giving their power to Sam, they brought the god to his knees. Samuel Eshpard's executed his final gambit. Using his connection to the primordial forces of the world, his body was suitable to fully absorb the immortal god into his mortal shell. The God and Sam were locked in struggle for Sam's body as the corruption forced him to fight the Godkillers with intense magical power.
The godkillers were, with much difficulty were able to bring down the corrupted hero and thereby destroy the power the god of destruction had. The concentrated energy of all the world's Aether and Deridah, all its primordial magic in a single concentrated location was split open. This event was known as the Ereburst and created the new orange sun, Eshpard, and bestowed the new 12 Gods with their power.
