The Great Scar is a large, seemingly bottomless canyon located in Vehasi. It was caused during the God War, a conflict spanning all of Dulūn. Millenia after the God War, the Scar still bisects half of the continent. It limits trade, travel, and communication between the nations on either side, effectively splitting the continent into Northern and Southern halves.
Geography
The inside of the Great Scar is a steep rocky cliff reaching further down into the planet than most have travelled. These walls extend into numerous caves, and cut the continent's Underdark in half as well as the surface. The rocks are loose and unstead, prone to rockslides. Very few know what is at the bottom of the canyon, this knowledge likely limited to the gods themselves - if in fact there is a bottom. All expeditions of exploration into the depths of the canyon have ended in catastrophe, though some organisations still offer a costly reward to any able to return with proof they have reached its furthest depths.
This is epic TTRPG campaign material this is. A thought bottomless crack in the planet potentially harboring unknown treasures, biomes and ecology of great and terrifying and alien like nature? Yes, Please yes, sign me up, player or GM don't matter I'm in it to win it that'd be so cool!
thanks! there's a big campaign arc coming up in one of my campaigns revolving around the scar and where it leads...
