The Vechian Pass is one of the two land-based routed between the northern and southern parts of the continent of Vehasi. It is controlled by Vechia, who primarily uses it for trade with the nation of Reuni, or more rarely, the other northern nations. However, trade with Khastoro is typically done through water travel, and trade with New Vransi with magical travel.

Geography

The Vechian Pass is located between the Solorim Mountains and the Great Scar. Travelling through it can be somewhat tricky, as the land directly to the west drops down into the chasm of the Great Scar, and the land directly east rises into rocky, mountainous terrain. Large groups often struggle to move through here together, as lone travellers or small parties are best suited for travel in the region. Even if the nations on either side of the Vechian Pass wanted war with one another, the small pass would not facilitate the movement of troops.

Ecosystem

The ground itself in this area is very rocky, with small patches of grasses peeking through every now and again. There are strikingly few animals that can be found around this region, most of them birds or mountain-dewlling species having wandered a bit too far from their homes in the Solorim Mountains. A few dragons make their homes in the nearby mountains, and abberations sometimes crawl up out from the Great Scar - these dragons can sometimes pose a threat to passersby.
