Coveter of Knowledge, Seeker of Friends, Dragon of Duality
For all who wish to enter Carmenthia's Library, one must first gain the blessing of the Temple's Librarian. The mortal, humanoid guise is one Ismera has donned for thousands of years. They present themselves as an awkwardly charming, knowledgeable, and eager to please host who regards Carmenthia with the highest of reverence. They know every inch of the Library for they have painstakingly organized and catalogued every book and scroll, every alchemical ingredient, and every type of needed supply to keep a Library running. Why would they not... for it is their horde after all. Beneath their magically vanishing sleeves, Ismera is a huge, teal dragon with a strong inclination towards the arcane, a breath of blinding light, and a desperate desire to keep what they regard as theirs. In many ways there are two sides to Ismera: the welcoming host and the possessive dragon. However, long-lived and knowledgeable mortals will find easy favor with Ismera. Are they not the perfect host? Would you like to be friends?

The Traveling Library
A century ago, when the Library was rediscovered, Ismera gained friends who dragged them out on an adventure. While they are still loathe to leave the Library, they now, at least, have a reason to make short trips across the continent. There is a region with history to archive, friends and scholars to touch base with, and lovers to spend precious time with. Scholars across the continent often keep an eye on the sky in the off chance a streak of teal goes by. If lucky, the traveling Librarian will land, bringing the wealth of Carmenthia's knowledge tucked within their mind.

Knowledge Best Hidden – A delightful part of life is in the pursuit of knowledge. Why would Ismera deprive the mortal of the opportunity to conduct research? To pour over tomes and draw their own conclusions? Sometimes, questions are best left unanswered. Sometimes, answers will come later. And sometimes, the answer is best left unspoken... for eternity. For Knowledge is power and, for some knowledge, its power lies in its secrecy. Yes, knowledge should be shared, but not all. There is some knowledge that should be coveted, secured, and hidden away.

History
Parvathian and Ismera's first actual meeting was a formal request to become... a throuple: dragon, dragonborn, and the Being of Blood. Despite agreeing to an initial proposition, Ismera was initially hesitant and possesive of Ghilani, but ultimately acquiesed when they learned of Parvathian's love and respect for the arcane (despite his inability to wield magic) and their shared distaste for the region of Caliban. Over 100 years, Parvathian is one of the few people Ismera is willing to leave Carmenthia's Library for.
