Void Bearer Diamont
In the Void Maiden's absence, Diamont has become the temporary head of the Church of The Void. He is a well-spoken and shrewd individual who has a tendency to be stubbornly independent (to the annoyance of his Void Heir Kehri). Diamont has held his Shard for nearly a decade. Despite this, his body has held up incredibly well. His most noticeable disability is his missing left leg. Although portions of him have been overtaken by The Void – portions of his chest, his left arm, and the left side of his face – Diamont has shown a mastery of The Void, prompting its shadowy tendrils to replace his missing limb when it is desperately needed. In response, there are some in the Cult who whisper that Diamont could be the next Heir to the Void Maiden. Diamont, however, seems wholly uninterested in such a proposition.
Why is Diamont in the Cult of The Void? Is he seeking annihilation under romantic notions? Does he crave power even if it will destroy him? Does he seek atonement for crimes he has committed? Or is he genuinely striving to do the most good he can for the most people?
